FAQ

Why does site storage always run out?
Because the footprint is calculated without access. People, barrows and forklifts need room between stacks, plus a delivery apron and turning space — 40-60% of the total. The other cause is lumpy deliveries: three months of material arriving in one. Control it with capped issues and phased delivery.
Why cap bagged cement at ten bags high?
Three reasons: pressure cakes the bottom bags above ten high; tall stacks get raided from the middle and collapse; and manual handling above 1.5 m injures backs. A bulk silo at 30-50 t uses far less space and loses less material than bagged storage.
Any special rules for storing rebar?
Raise it at least 200 mm off the ground — direct contact rusts and muddies it — and stack by size with tags. Coils must stand upright in cradles or they spring open and injure people. Keep the stack near the cutting yard: double handling runs 3-5% of the rebar package and is a hidden cost usually missed.
